Sharp TM150 Cell Phone Reviews

Charles Have had my TM150 since Jan 05. Took it to Cancun with me and it is almost all I used for pics. My Cancun pics are descent.

The phone is unable to take a reasonable good pic at night and you better hold steady for a follow thorugh once you do click a pic as there si a delay reaction thing that happens.

You can not attach an alarm to the calendar and that is a bit of a drag. Actually that is the one feature that Sharp should really work to incorporate into their next version.

The ringer and earpiece volume could be louder.

Although seriously quick to charge, it will drain rapidly if using the camera much. Oh well. Guess thats why they have a car charger.

The covers are slick and easy to drop if your hands are damp. It is durable though.

Other than the above it is a seriously tight and well made piece of equipment. It may be the best overall cell phone that I have seen. I will anxiously await for a version with a 2 megapixel phone and better alarm.

x i've owned one for about 3 days now and LOVING it. here's a quick pro and con

pros:

screen. biggest i've ever seen. bright, wont be squinting at it
camera: sure it isn't a digital camera, but for a MP camera on a phone, its pretty cool. i wont go back to VGA
sturdy: i like the little click it makes when you open it. LOL
card expansion: 600+ shots on a 128 MMC is a good thing

*=not important to me but still should be addressed

cons:

no bt or speaker*: could be important to people. its nice to have, but i'm not bashing it
customization: wish i could change the housing or *the pink strip*
the external caller id, when someone rings, it shows the name, THATS it!

for all you people who hate the data cable, use a sd/mmc reader

for all you people that complains about games, you wanna play games on your phone, buy an n-gage

for all you people who say you have to flip THEN press the green button(i keep hearing this one)

menu/settings/connectivity/call settings/flip open/incoming call/answer

Agression Media this phone is hella tight. I just got it as an early christmas gift. I'd have to say its pretty damn nice. Takes really clear pics. Also, it is a bit big, but has alot of features. Does anyone know how to get REAL songs to play as the ringtones... i have converted a few songs on my powermac and then transfered to the card, but i dont know how to exactly make them play as the rington... can u donwload actual song mini clips from the tmobile broswer? Thanks to anyone who can help.

also to anyone who complains about tmobile... they have the cheepest plans with the greatest amount of minutes and they have great service too... i dont find anything wrong with it, if you dont like it then switch, because it is by far the best.

JAM I have had this phone since the day it came out (2+ years now). I have never had a battery charging problem (I make sure to run the battery down most of the way before recharging). I love the keypad and user interface. I need a worldwide phone, and the TM150 works really well that way (that's why I have had T-Mobile (VoiceStream before the buyout); their international rates (per minute, no roaming charges) are really good). The displays are first rate. I actually don't mind having a bit of heft to it, but I wish there was some way to get rid of the nub antenna (I keep the phone in my pocket). I also really like the way the contact (address) book is set up (multiple phone numbers per entry, not a separate entry per phone number). When I get a call from someone in the contact book, the Caller ID tells me who it is regardless of which number (in the book) they called me from (their home, their office, their mobile).

Problems? As reported by many others, the phone doesn't have a very high ring volume. I have it set to both ring and vibrate, but I still miss the occassional call.

No regrets (I don't text message, so I can't speak to that).

Bird Aright, Yes this phone is lame for its size..but you must look at it this way, when this phone came out it had some of the best features in its time.. i already posted a comment on this phone..but the thing that gets me mad is that people ignore all these comments and like IDIOTs still buy this phone?!?!? The camera is badass!!!! NOT the video, Ringers Suck, but the internet on this phone is really good for a phone in its time!!!! im posting this comment from this phone right now, well im just letting yall know if your going to buy it then at least consider these comments..laterz..

bloop i just got this phone. haven't got it yet tho but can u buy cool ring tones and put em on it?

Joyce I hate the ringtones on this phone. I was wondering, is there any way you could record things from the voice notes application to use as a ringtone?

Kat I love this phone!!! I recently got this phone and it is certainly better than the old nokia that i had. I can hear really well on this phone, and even though a lot of people would say that the speaker is very quiet...i never missed a call because i could not hear the phone. I love the camera, but i don't think there's a zoom. The screen is great!!!! WOW so much color!! The phone i bigger than normal flip phones, but i can carry it comfortabely in my jeans pocket. I also don't like the fact that there are no games on this phone ... i have been able to get some though at www.mobango.com i also got some ring tones from this site. To get the games u will have to go on-line (purchase t-zones). This phone has an awsome menu and you can do a lot with it: it as a SD memory card that comes with it where you can save the pictures you take to it. I have a card reader/writer that easily transfer the images i have on the phone to my computer (the reader cost's about 15-20 dollars) anyways I hope that this review was helpful. I strogly recommend this phone it is better than i thought it would be.

peteydominion I have had this phone for about 4 months now and have this to say: The ringer volume is absolutely too low! I can't tell you how many phone calls I have missed due to the poor volume on this thing! I am getting instead a Samsung e715 model I bought on eBay for like 80$. I used to have a Samsung e105 model: real basic, no pics, no mp3's, just a solid, LOUD phone. Dont get me wrong, this is a great phone(tm150) but I can do without the awesome screen(the only real selling point about it, really.) Samsungs have an outside service light (LED) to let you know if you have a text message, missed a call, etc. TM150 does not. I should have researched this TM150 more before I got it (got it free thru T-mobil). Its not the phones fault, I just want more. Im gonna let my wife have it, that way we both have camera phones and have a little fun. I realize I dont really need Bluetooth, IR, MP3, FM radio?, or any of that crap, just a nice basic phone with good reception and a camera. But thats just me.....

NIKO I've had this phone for about a year now. It's working perfect. I've dropped it many times, and still perfect. The battery is pretty bad, but only if you use the camera once every so often. The other gripe i have is the slow text messaging. I'm so use to the NOKIA's user friendly. The CAMERA quality of this phone is one of the best (JUST HOLD THE PHONE STEADY AND DONT SHAKE, OR ELSE IT'LL BE BLURRY). I LOVE THIS PHONE.
