What is your need that you will change from 6270?
The difference feature from SE W810 and 3250 :
W810 has 850 GSM, complete ability camera (autofocus, flash, panoramic etc), infra red (3250 has not) and candy bar model.
While 3250 has symbian (because a smartphone) (W810 isn't smartphone like 6270) and PTT.
Other features are similar.
But the difference between 6270 and 3250 are only smartphone and the model exactly.You loose stereospeaker and flash if you change to 3250. So for me,it's not worthed if you change from 6270 to 3250.
My personal advice,if you really want to try smartphone than better you go to N73 (because you also upgrade your camera ability besides the smartphone ability).
Or you can try SE W810i if you want to have experience how SE phone do with music and camera ability.
Just my opinion.

perhaps d nokia care center u visited does not hav a more updated one than ur current 3.18 meaning dey also hav 3.18 dat's y dey said sending service commands wil stil not work otherwise d nokia care rep u talked with is not well trained and he/she does not know wat he/she is talkin about coz i've tried upgrading to 3.21 and it corrected d problem re sending service commands with instant reply on screen (my balance)! also, as far as i know, firmware upgrading does not include disasembling/opening of ur unit coz i had upgraded my firmware 2 times already and i was told by nokia care philippines dat dey won't open my unit anymore coz its cumbersome (coz i requested dem to open my 3250 juz to clean d inner screen display..). here in our country firmware upgrades takes around 2-6 hours only and u can get ur unit on d same day u brought it (on selected authorized centers)!

yup i had 6630 b4. nope im not "themagicpenguin" u were referrin to in 6630's forum. juz want to remind u dat u must only buy 3250 direct from Nokia Store or any authorized distributors! never get from any unathorized stores (black market) which does not hav any warranty from nokia coz these units hav lots of problems (malfunctioning twisting mechanism, lagging on sending a message and more). u may b savin some dime f u buy in black market but u'll surely have headache! so don't forget get 3250 only at nokia store!

wat's ur firmware? try to uprade to at least 3.21 or 3.23 or 3.28 whichever is available in ur area at ur nearest authorized nokia care ctr. btw, when i bought my 3250 last April 1, i never experienced any lagging on sending msgs and/or performance, in fact 3250 is d fastest S60 i've ever used to date! i had 6630 and 7610. i hop u didn't get urs in d black market.. (no offense). as of now, u can't get firmware updates from nokia and do it on ur own PC. u can check here weekly, nokia is adding new phones from time to time:

i guess, its really up to ya.. btw, wer did u get ur 3250? nokia store or authorized distributors or d black market? but honestly, all d problems u told me does not exist on my 3250 even my firmware then was only 3.18! i wish u d best of luck next tym u get a new phone!

no u can't get ulead nokia edition in d internet. d 1 on d cd is not a trial version. if u got ur 3250 at an authorized distributor, then u can ask them a copy for free!

if u don't need symbian, u may want to try W810, but if u need symbian 3250 is d best choice (buy only at nokia store) ryt now it will surely turn heads more than W810 can, obviously coz of d twisting keypad! also, u must take note dat 3250's loudspeaker may b only 1 but d output is stereo and it is louder than ur 6270s loudspeaker! i don't recommend SE k750 coz of d joystick, it will malfunction or will hav a defect after 6 months for sure, 100%! by then, its virtually useless! i had k750 before, its great but then again d joystick issue.. final verdict, is still up to ya!

i think u got ur 3250 from ur carrier/network operator or from d black market. no offense, but those units really has d said issues. u may try to upgrade ur firmware to 3.23 at nokia care.

i don't blame u if ur confused. u see, not all person who posts in here got their 3250 from nokia care/authorized distributor so not all of em got d 100% fault free unit. ask for me, i got it from nokia store direct last april 1, and trust me, i never had d said lagging or hanging when sending msgs even i only had 3.18 firmware then.. buy only at nokia store to avoid faulty units! never buy in d black market. i hav 3250 for over 5 months now, and i hav 800++ msgs, but never experience slowing on sending msgs even by groups! im using 512mb microSD

risks r, u r more likely to get a faulty unit w/ d message lag, not working twist function, memory card can't b read, etc.. but not all phones in d black/grey market hav defects, most of dem has. nokia care wl still upgrade d firmware for u, of course w/ a charge. b reminded, not all 3250 (im referrin to units bought at d black/grey market) will b fixed after a firmware upgrade (like wat owners here who attested) example, i hav V3.23 and i heard some1 here got V3.23 too but she or he still has d msg lag problem which i do not hav at all even when my firmware was 3.18 back april 1! best thing go buy at nokia store directly otherwise test and scrutinize every feature is working 100% like sending several messages b4 u actually pay for it..

i recently bought this new nokia 3250 cell...i bot it on 20/8/06...just 15 dys have gone...m having problems with my cell....when i get a call n i receive it,i can hear the persons voice but the person cant hear hear my voice.....it feels like vacuum being created..can anyone tell me y this happens n is nebody facing same kinda problem???pls do help as m really pissed offf.......

i had my 3250 from about 1 week and it was working well.
but now i've a problem with the music player it doesn't work,(when i twist it or choose it from the stand by mode or from menu>music>musicplayer
when i choose a play list it shows ( no tracks),even nokia tones doesn't work
but when i enter gallery>tracks>my list and choose play it plays the tracks in the list very well
what do u think is wrong
