<unknown> Battrey Life less than one day - stand by. Camera very average. Out of 30 calls in a day, only 2-3 callers manage to get through to me (poor reception - phone always hangs)
But the Wifi is good and quick.

mayank i have just purchased i mate sp5m and it was a great expieriance with it but suddenly one day i was driving on bike and it has ring. i had take out it from pocket and it slipped out of my hands. not its whole body was destroyed and infrared port and ir glass damaged. and i don't have any idea from where i take it for service.
Soul Guy Umm Guys, I just nipped to Dubai last week and found it there without even looking!! Liked it, Bought it & now enjoying it.
Someone asked about the speaker and it is fantastic (I say this coming from a K750) which had a very poor ear piece!!
Screen is really nice!! So bright and easy to read! and the new Windows software is a breaze, much better than the iMate SP3. The phone it self does feel heavy (Heavier than the K750) but still more solid and quality than anything. Speaker phone is really nice & loud and it def has WiFi. Was connecting to every hot spot in Dubai only to find them requiring a Log in name and pass word!!
Anyways, Price there (Dubai) was 1,899 Dirhams which is about 280 pounds!!

fadz why the rating on this phone is way lower than the functionally identical phone, qtek 8300. This phone has 64mb sdram, the 8300 has only 32mb.
ug The camera is mediocre. 1.3 mp is not that great. To get decent pictures, you need 4 mp or higher. I don't understand why these jackass companies keep coming out with 1.3 mp crap when we all know that samsung has announced 7 and 8 mp camera phones. WTF, put those goddam cameras (or at least a lousy 4mp unit) in your phones, for crying out loud!
Each year I buy an expensive phone and it is not quite up to the hype. The manufacturers need to stop trying to make these marginally improved phones, and develop a long term plan for the technologies they are going to have. Then they need to fill out their products with mature, high quality versions of these technologies.
I am done throwing money away at this crap and I am done ranting.
Marc It is a nice smartphone but with a lot of problems:
1. batteries are empty in 2 days, 2. screen lightens just when you store the phone in your pocket even when you lock the buttons, 3.software is slow, 4. no acces to files (pdf, excel etc), 5. software instabile (many users in Holland facing this problem), 6. Helpdesk via India (you do not get answers on your questions)
Finally, it is a nice try by the i-mate company but the phone is technically not yet ready for sales. So if you can wait for the next version please wait and dont be so silly like me, owning a problem phone.

Tausif I was fully convinced to buy this cell previously, but now after reading comments from all of you i wish to ask some one or anyone who would guide me about sp5m.worth it or not. Even I have been using sp3i that was terribly pathetic and I had major lost of the money when I sold sp3i.
Lalu Lonappan How i can install a Certificate on iMate5m, i tried but tells that the security does't allow to proceed, can any one help? I need this certificate to access Exchange 2003 Mobile Services by Activesync.
