TL It's true that today's Chinese brand names are not match to Japanese ones in the world market. However, that doesn't mean that in the future they will not. Still remember how inferior and shabby Japanese cars were when they first entered US market. As a matter of fact, Americans helped Japan build its first car ever: NISSAN. The word "NISSAN" means nothing but "made-in-Japan"
The fact that someone is using Canon to compare Chinese brand names against others is arleady a good example of ignorance and generalization. Too bad....what a pity...

do you think a canon camera made in china, and an unknown chinese brand's camera are the same quality? Obviously not because canon would try their best to keep up with their quality aand technology level..which most chinese companies don't have yet.
