decoy It seems that only the 501 model has WAP and the new 502 will have GPRS....correct me if I'm wrong.
anonymous I got this thing from my work, so it's free for me.
Well... I bough myself a Nokia, you can do everything with the alcatel one touch 501, internet, sms, dictionary, eVERYTHING EXCEPT calling!! When you call someone it sounds like a malfunctioning robot in a sandstorm on a remote planet... really sad they put such lousy microphones in that thing... The gsm itselfs is really good in design and flexibility and menu-lay out and so... but you can't talk to somebody else without loosing 85% of your voice into noise and buffer fragmentation. This gsm is absolutely a no-buy!!!!!

Bob Great phone (501) except:
-battery lasts only 3 days
-no IR port
-only 15 seconds of voice memo
-NO DISTINCTIVE RING !!! I've searched the menu and the manual many times but I have found no way to associate a melody to a number (like for Nokia or Ericsson) or to a directory (like for old Alcatel OT Pocket)! If I am wrong on this, please e-mail me or post reply here. Thanks!
